About Fentons Home Care

Hi, I am Tracey Fenton and I am incredibly proud of the journey I have undertaken since launching Fentons HomeCare in March 2021. Whilst employed for a number of years within a nationally renowned organisation that provides supported living, I met a wonderful  lady who made me aware of the amount of people across Thirsk, Easingwold, and the surrounding areas of North Yorkshire who were in desperate need of some home care/support/companionship but either could not afford the rates quoted by larger home help organisations and/or agencies, or they desired a more personal relationship rather than a different carer arriving each day. 

This inspired me to reach out and offer some much needed home support to these wonderful people which in-turn helped me to truly understand the challenges they faced.  I very quickly came to the opinion that if just one person could not find affordable One to One care in our local area, then it was one person too many and Fentons HomeCare was born. 

I am self-employed, fully trained and experienced, insured and prefer to call myself a 'Care Companion' rather than a carer. Working alone not only significantly reduces the overheads that larger providers/agencies have (so I can keep my costs affordable) but more importantly to me, I am able to provide a more personal and almost friendship based home care service across my local area. I strive each day to make someone's life a little easier and provide a service that is structured to each individuals needs and desires. I absolutely treasure the relationships I have built with each and every person I support, and this helps me to provide a more personal service founded on mutual trust, cemented with dignity and compassion and over time.....friendship.
